President Barrack Obama will give a lecture on the eve of Mandela Day

Johannesburg: Dignitaries gathered in Constitution Hill, Johannesburg at the launch of The Nelson Mandela Day Centenary Celebrations, the foundation has had these lectures previously and the intention of the lectures is to raise awareness, create a dialogue or a debate which cuts across critical issues in South Africa, Africa and the entire World that affect humanity.

This year is the 16th Annual Lecture of the late Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. Former U.S. Barrack Obama will present a speech at this year’s lecture. The Nelson Mandela Foundation and The Obama Foundation announced today.

The lecture will take place at the Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg on 17 July a day before The International Nelson Mandela Day.

Sello Hatang said! They have various projects lined up for the foundation; one of them being the building of liabraries across country.

This year’s theme is “Renewing the Mandela Legacy and Promoting Active Citizenship in a Changing World”
