Jouberton: This is a route map of the Walk A Mile In My Shoes School Uniform Fun Walk this coming Saturday at Ext 7 Jouberton in the western part of the township.
Matlosana”Klerksdorp” has over a considerable period of time not had a youth day celebration which can pull crowds from different areas from within the city itself and surrounding areas.
But for “Walk A Mile In My Shoes” a community centre which is making an impactful change in the big township of Jouberton all that is about to change. “The Walk A Mile In My Shoes” NPO has different programs to its name such as a Feeding Scheme for kids, Edu-care, Arts and Culture and a Rehabilitation project for gangsters
just to name a few.
For June 16 which is a public holiday which is meant to celebrate the commemoration of The 1976 Student Uprisings, this holiday has lost it’s meaning and “Walk A Mile In My Shoes” is trying to re-capture its meaning with A School Uniform Fun Walk, and “Raising Awareness On Youth Social Issues”
The walk will begin at 07h00 to 10h00 and then the sports games will begin at 11h00 to 17h00. Sports; Soccer, Volleyball, Netball and Indigenous games, Chess Tournament, Youth Dialogue, Arts and Culture plus Entertainment.
