Midvaal donates at Klerksdorp Hospital on Mandela Day

On the eve of the International Nelson Mandela Day, former U.S. President Barack Obama addressed dignitaries from local and abroad about the legacy of the late Nelson Mandela at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

Obama’s speech covered mandela’s work of humanity at length taking it forth to the 18th Of July , which would mark Mandela’s 100th birthday. Nelson Mandela Foundation marked the day as his 100 years centenary celebration and was celebrated across the country and beyond . In honour of this legacy people In different parts of the country normally pledge 67 minutes of their time to do good in various spaces and in the spirit and support of humanity by painting public buildings, donating food, taking care of the elderly etc.

One such initiative took place at the Klerksdorp Hospital, organised by Midvaal Water company and coordinated by Lungelwa Mkhuzo of(L.O.T) Lu_ On _Thought . A nonprofit company, whose mission is to shape and upskill the mind-sets through innovative educational methods.

The partnership went to a children’s ward at Klerlsdorp hospital to donate chairs , tables, colouring books and pens for kids with the aim of creating a kiddies creativity corner to stimulate and influence their mind-sets positively while on health recovery.

The delegation of the Midvaal Water Company board was present in no particular order: Steve Nkebe, Mpolokeng Kortjaas, Chakalane “Shakes” Nakedi, Michael Kagiso Khauoe, together with the CE Matshidiso David Dikoko . Also present was their management saff , Henry De Jaar, Sello Malatji, Marina Kruger, Elizabeth Scheepers, Bontle Mokhutshane and Connie Kemeng.

Mr Dikoko reiterated Mandela’s love for kids as being the inspiration of donating the equipment for the kids. He expressed the need to nurture the young minds as they are the future leaders.

In appreciation Dr Leburu the CEO of the hospital expressed his gratitude for the extended hand in humanity by Midvaal Water company and Lu_On_Thought . He was accompanied by the head of children’s ward Pontsho Nzondo and senior staff of ward 10 Joyce Tau and Sister Raboshakga.
Lu_On_Thought committed to further maintain an already established relationship in Dec 2017, by offering periodic story reading sessions to the children to entrench the culture of reading as one of their company mission& vision.

Midvaal Water company concluded it’s day with a powerful inspirational session for its entire workforce. This was made possible by the CE Mr Dikoko to enforce a mind shift, propelling change and a positive state of mind amongst the employees for improved progress and overall productivity in the workforce.
