Klerksdorp:In recent times the city has had its fair share of runways, and if you speak fashion and modelling you definitely have to mention Kings and Queens Modelling Academy.
We have written a story about this modelling academy and Katlego Boweni, wayback in 2017, and ever since; i can atest that she has made strides and moved in leaps and bounds together with her modelling academy.
As a plus size model, Katlego Boweni has changed the game and inspired other fully figured women to have confidence in themselves and join the runways.
Besides!…her academy, Kings and Queens Modelling has managed to host Matlosana Fashion Week, and have been part of a string of community building initiatives and these have earned them a collaboration with big national brands like; Edgars, Mercedes Benz, Telkom, and Cell C.
The Academy pulled through local designers for a fun filled small fashion show at Matlosana Mall on 16 March saturday in partnership with the aforementioned retail stores and event company.
Matlosana Mall was dazzled by; the designs and the talented models of Kings and Queens Modelling Academy who displayed a range of designs for both males, females, boys and girls. Innovators Entertainment Company provided the sound system, and it was all systems go for Thaksido, Herstory, Yikes, Re Given, Tshepo Mofrie and all the retail stores that partnered with Kings and Queens.
Every designer and retail store had models for different items of clothing, the retail stores had their own seasonal clothing that was modelled by all the different age group models that took part in the fashion show. Rapper Gcwababa Madala II and a young Afro-soul group called Glucose set the stage alight with hot performances.
