Matlosana “Klerksdorp”: Mr. Emang Mochoanaesi the Director for Public Affairs at Motla Consulting Engineers marshalled investors from China to come to Matlosana for their companies to come and invest in a myriad of opportunities that the city has on offer.

CED Prometheus of Beijing in China and Tranctionel Enterprise a subsidiary of Consolidated Infrastructure Group Limited of South Africa are meeting with City of Matlosana’s Executive Mayor, Finance (Cllr. Farouk Tagaree) & Community Safety (Cllr. Sebenzile Dayimane) MMCs, and council officials, government departments’ representatives from North West Province, Officials from NWDC, and officials from JB Marks Municipality & Lekwa-Teemane Municipality as well as representatives of Isago N12 Development.

The investors have a two day engagement with all these role-players at Rio Casino outside Jouberton from the 25th to 26th June 2019. All the invited officials and representatives will present investment opportunities that these two companies should channel their resources into in order to boost local economies.

According to Mr. Jacques De Vos, the Executive Director of the Beijing based CED Prometheus the intention of their company is three-fold, namely infrastructure investment, local economic empowerment and skills transfer. The company will be working with Motla Consulting Engineers who are facilitating investor contact sessions with all the role-players and stakeholders in North West and South Africa.

Motla is looking at these engagements as a means to upgrade infrastructure in Matlosana and the North West Province to enable greater investments from foreign investors who always prioritise infrastructure such as electricity, roads and water & sanitation before bringing in their investments.

The narrative of these meetings and presentations will also look at gaps that exist in local communities such as skills, expertise and project management that investment must ensure exist upon end of the term.

Mr. Mochoanaesi will circulate a media release upon the conclusion of the Matlosana China Infrastructure Investment Tour on Tuesday the 26th June 2019.
