Johannesburg:In the wake of violent protests, that have plagued out for the past three days at the hometown of Idols SA 2019 hopeful and primary school teacher Innocentia Sibi who hails from Khuma a small township in the North West, the people of this township and The City of Matlosana are putting their weight behind her to win the competition and rebuilt the image of Khuma.

The energetic and bubbly muso’s talent of music was discovered at a tender age, when she started singing and dancing for her family and friends when she was just four years old then.

It was in her primary school at PA Theron in Stilfontien where she joined the school choir that, her choir conductor spotted this talented singer with a beautiful, ans unique voice…the conductor encouraged and recommended her to participate in talent search competitions.

After completing her matric at Alabama High, she went to study Music and Society at the University of North West were she joined a choir as well, after completing a BA Hons she had no resources to continue with studying her passion which is music, she decided to study teaching at the Rhodes University.

In 2018 Maklera Magazine captured a live video of her performing Zonke’s “Jik’izinto” at “The Platinum North West Tv auditions” a video that has since gone viral and received thousands of views on facebook.

With the persuasion of her family and friends, Innocentia decided to finally try her luck at the Idols SA 2019 competition a move which is paying off, the songbird is now in the Top 10 of the competition.

When we contacted her on monday night she said! “It’s not easy here and there’s so much hardwork to be done, we doing choreography and vocal coaching, although i’m enjoying myself cause this is something i’m passionate about.

She is number 8 of the contestants, the same number is used for voting and SMSes, another method is through an email registration on the Idols SA website.
