South Africa – Whilst the world has been halted by the Coronavirus outbreak, South Africa and the African continent have been dealt a blow after the news of the passing of a prophet, author, artist, sculptor, philosopher, story teller and isanusi (sangoma) Credo Vusamazulu Mutwa.
Born 21 July 1921 in Kwazulu-Natal – Mutwa was renowned for his predictions on domestic and international tragic events – often being criticized by many for his beliefs and teachings of preserving African cultural practices which were seen as superstitious and mythical by his critics.
Mutwa predicted the assassination of Chris Hani, the 1976 uprising, the US and Iran attacks which resulted in the killing of Iranian Commander Qassem Soleimani, World War 3, 9/11, The ousting of former President Thabo Mbeki and many others.
The mystical name “Vusamazulu” compliments his character and the ability he possessed to use African medicine to help people in Kwa-Khaya Le Ndaba a cultural village he had built in Soweto which was burned during an unrest, resulting in a relocation to Letlamoreng Dam in Mahikeng where he developed a tourist village.
As an author the renowned traditional healer wrote several books such as; Indaba My Children which sold over 250 000 copies in South Africa alone, Zulu Shaman: Dreams, Phrophecies and Mysteries, Let not my country die, My People, Song of the Stars just to name a few.
Credo’s accomplices describe him as a powerful human being who dedicated his life to preserving the culture of African people.
