Jouberton – Ratanang Youth Development is a community development organization that was established in October 2019 with a focus in the development of the youth of “Ratanang Location” in “Jacaranda“, and the surrounding areas, they specialize in development programs such as; Feeding program, Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation.
This past Saturday they honoured they celebrations of the “International Mandela Day” by feeding the community of Ext 19.
“We did our “67 munites” in honour of the late former statesman “Nelson Mandela” and most importantly we wanted to put a smile on children’s faces and we did so by; feeding them Bread, Mince, Juice and Water, we were able to donate Pads and Clothes to the community, caring members of the public assisted with the donations of clothes that they no longer needed”.
Ratanang Youth Development has already started with a program of teaching Children and the youth of Ratanang in the performing arts activities, like: dance, poetry, music, modelling and drama.
The youth say their aims and objectives in doing all this is to uplift and motivate the young people in the community, and basically putting more focus in the future of our youth and community.
Business people from around Klerksdorp who sponsored the humanitarian course are; Boitsho Katlego Enterprise, Skinsho, Phagwear, Maklera Magazine, Milkman’s Choice, Ms Orlando Pirates Precious Thwala and Ms Teen North West Lebogang Maleleka were part of the project, the founding members of Ratanang donated funds in order to get some of the things they needed.
