Snowfalls will cause strong winds and a few cold days

Cape Town – The South African Weather Services has given a warning of heavy snowfalls that will cause some closures to mountain passes across the Cape Winelands this afternoon, the snowfall will spread to the Karoo and the Southern of part of the Northern Cape on Tuesday Night.

The snowfalls will also intensify a windy cold front which will be felt across the country, Gauteng, North West, Eastern Cape, KZN, Mpumalanga Highveld and Western Cape will be the most affected.

Meanwhile the first snowfalls have been reported by the SA Weather Services in the Western Cape’s (Matroosberg Mountain) this afternoon.

South Africans have been advised to keep warm.
